I was asked about my writing….
My response was, either you like it or you don’t.
I basically write, how some people say, 'Spanglish' or how most of us back home say, 'Tex-Mex'. Meaning, in a sentence, it is never one language, the sentence is a combo of both languages of English and Spanish. My stories are about Mexican people and their culture, so if that doesn't interest you, then my books are not for you. I further went on to say, that I break most of the writing rules too. I like to write from both of the main characters point of view, not just from the heroine's point of view, because I figure that the reader would like to know more about the hero too.
I didn't major in journalism; so therefore, I don’t have a fancy degree in writing. My degree instead was in finance. Nevertheless, it doesn't mean that you can't put your thoughts and your crazy ideas in writing. At least, in my opinion, that's not my style, so I guess you can call me a rebel writer!
